Fill er up!

Today I was talking with Chris, the transport driver who delivers fuel to our local grocery store gas station.

Each one of the two hoses in the image are delivering 500 gallons of gasoline per minute into the underground storage tanks.

Chris also told me that a typical delivery is around 11,000 gallons! That is a LOT of fill ups, as my car only takes about 20 gallons when the tank is almost empty!

I also learned that some of the larger gas stations, like Costco for example, may receive two to three deliveries during the same day.

Thanks for all the great trivia Chris!
