6:15am. 31F in the Kawuneeche valley, Rocky Mountain National Park. 
 Just inside the park, a herd of about 40 elk, but too dark for a picture. 
Off in the distance, A cow & young calf. 
Another herd of 40 elk. 
Then, this bull moose, I stood behind the car to photograph this bull in the distance. Still pretty dark. All of a sudden he wanted to tcross the road and I had to hurry to the front of the car.
He didn’t look very big when in the meadow, but boy, when away from the long grass. Super big boy.
He’s missing part of an ear, probably from frost bite.
