Galium saxatile

Heath Bedstraw - Patches of this tiny white flowered plant are appearing on one small patch of the heath.
Early visit to the plot, watering, adding more plant protection for the anemone bed. One area was'nt protected, I thought perhaps the pheasant would have more delicious crops to peck on but no, they have eaten the flower buds leaving just the stems ...GRH!
Walked Indie, coffee with Mum. Another attempt to persuade her to get a cleaner in ... No. Quite adamant.
Back to Chudleigh, hubby & I cleaned the garage guttering out just in case we get some of hte scattered showers forecast this weekend. The water butts are all empty, & we have a hosepipe ban in place here in the South West so every drop saved is a bonus.
Lunch, then gardening in BT in the afternoon. G & J in good spirits, both following me around their garden, chairs strategically placed to enjoy the sunshine throughout the day, with parasols if needed. 4 hours is my normal time spent keeping the garden looking tidy although it would be easy to find jobs eveyday with a garden their size.
Home to make a fish curry. Disappointing result, there was no flavour to the fish at all. Never mind.
