One day at a time

Windy

My daughter and I visited this Trig Point [official name: Triangulation pillar] on Hadrian’s Wall today. The elevation is 250 feet [correction: meters] and it is close to Milecastle 30 (site of) and Black Carts. With a keen north-easterly wind which has persisted for weeks it was chilly. We can only imagine what it would like wearing a toga.
The extra is of Chipchase Castle on the other side of the River North Tyne. The far distant hills are The Cheviot. A further extra is Ali walking back the mile or so to our car.
