Le Matin en France, The Evening in England

Our last day in France, and mainland Europe.  We left with some sadness as we love France and had a really enjoyable time down in Portugal and a most memorable meal in Caceres.  The views by the Seine were uplifting for the soul and just minutes after we left the campsite, this extraordinary Abbey loomed above us.  I had to stop and record this view before continuing on our journey up to Calais, where we, once again, enjoyed the simplicity and ease of crossing under the sea rather than over it.

Once here, we headed to The Hop Farm where we stayed on one of our previous journeys and we enjoyed a walk by the river Medway, van cooked lamb, potatoes and cauliflower and some french flan we had picked up before leaving La France.  Photo of the Abbaye de Jumièges and extra of the scene from our van in Kent.
