Dactylorhiza fuchsii

or common orchid! A school trip this morning, just a few miles away to Malling Down. It was actually very steeply 'up'. We went as part of 'earth' learning topic and investigated species of plants in a square metre - apparently more than 50! We thought about the rock/land formation, chiselled for fossils and made 'Goldsworthy' inspired sculptures. Extras: view from the top and sculptures (stick one is mine).
My after work swim was cut short due to jellyfish! Then a lovely long chat with a friend in Switzerland, a visit to the physio and a beach wander.
