Kayaking

My friend and I planned to kayak from Ridgefield up Lake River to the Columbia River and have a picnic on a beach on the Columbia River and enjoy watching all the Navy ships coming up the river to Portland for Rose Festival.  When we landed on the beach and got out we couldn't get back in our kayaks and out of there fast enough.  Mosquito by the masses....neither of us have ever seen anything like it.
