It's Abstract Thursday!

This week our host, Ingeborg, chose the optional theme of 'Macro'.  I did take a very close up picture of a peony, part of one of my birthday bouquets, but decided that the shot didn't look very abstract so I have given it the Polar Coordinates treatment, using a PS Elements Distort filter.

In other news:  Violet turned 9 today so we celebrated this evening with dinner at a restaurant near to her home: see Extras for a pic of the birthday girl and Stella-Rose tucking into pizza and chips!
Today I finally went to see my orthopaedic surgeon  and I have a date for my second THR, 10 August.  I'm both excited and terrified in equal measure.
