Two Good Birds!

I noticed something sitting on a snag in the farm pond this morning and when I pointed my camera at it - lo! - it was a belted kingfisher! And then on the return trip I caught a flash of white and realized I had a shot at a photo of a red-headed woodpecker. Two birds that made me very happy this morning. The kingfisher is a female. No way to tell the sex of the woodpecker.

The extra is a shot showing yesterday's air quality vs today's. Not back to anything truly normal, but a huge improvement. I surely hope they manage to get those wildfires under control in Canada. What a disaster!
