Somehow we actually managed to make it happen despite everything else going on just at the moment. It was a long old drive to Nottingham to see Chvches at Rock City for Louisa's birthday present. 

The original plan was to go early and spend the day in Nottingham but circumstances meant we didn't get there till nearly 6 o'clock. Still, we had time for some delious Thai street food at Zaap and even a couple of drinks before the gig.

Chvrches were as great as expected. You can tell they are a band that have done a lot of touring over the last couple of years and everything was very tight. The biggest surprise of the night was probably bumping into Phil...not a surprise that he was there but to bump into him in that crowd was definitely unexpected.
