Pinks and Blues

After a few days of gallivanting, today we had to stay at home to catch up on chores and  admin. However it was too hot to do anything too energetic so some gardening and house work will have to wait.

This  is a fortuitous combination of plants in one of the boxes in our small front garden. I planted the Spirea japonica shrub some years ago, and sowed a packet of   Nigella (Love in a Mist) seeds more recently. They now reseed themselves  every summer, and I think their blue flowers go well with the pink Spirea.
