Blackbird v Newt.

Nature's so cruel. I saw this behaviour  last year, when a blackbird caught a newt from the pond and ate it. I don't know if it's the same female, but they're at it again. I watched her patrol round the edge of the pond, alert and watchful,  a sudden dart across the pond then she emerged with the newt in her beak. More filling than a worm, I think.
