Getting the sparkle back

Mertoun Estate

Had a lovely walk today in the Scottish Borders in the St Boswell's area, mostly on the banks of the River Tweed, with the weather much better than forecast. We saw lots of wild flowers, including huge amounts of wild garlic as in this photo, also cultivated gardens in the Mertoun Estate with fragrant azaleas. I fell in love with Mertoun House, a beautiful 18th century mansion built of a pink sandstone. Here's a link to it in Wikipedia.
