Life in a Northern Town

Deer Hill

I dropped Sarah at Meltham and set off to walk around Deer Hill - even at 8.30am it was too warm so I cut the walk short and spent a while watching a magnificent barn owl hunting - she must have babies to feed to be so active during the day. I did feel sorry for the field mice who caught her eye - they didn’t stand a chance.

We’re just having some lunch before I deliver Sarah to job number two - the mercury is already at 28 degrees - I’ll have to go and buy some new colours for my temperature blanket.
