Rather rainy

We decided to get a bus to explore Corfu town today. The weather was predicted to be inclement so we realised a day by the pool was unwise.

Inclement turned out to be in the centre of a thunderstorm for about an hour. As the rain started we dived into an restaurant in a pretty square and since it continued after we’d finished our lunch, we just extended with a coffee. But then it got serious and unbelievable amounts of water were falling from the sky.

I hadn’t thought to bring anything waterproof and we had a bus to catch. Eventually the owner of the restaurant drove us to the bus station which saved us from turning up like drowned rats.
