'I think it's raining Granny.'

Our last day in Oxford for a while today and we accompanied Euan and Mummy Becky to his swimming lesson this morning, followed by a Costa treat and then we were in charge for the remainder of the day.  The weather was threatening another storm so we had a pretty quick turnaround and Euan rode his bike to the park with Grandad running beside him whilst I took everything but the kitchen sink in the rucksack.

Euan spent some time on the swings and then in the sandpit.  One of the slides was already too hot to use safely so he had a go or two on the one in the shade of the tree and then took to his bike and did five big circuits with Granny and Grandad taking it in turns to run with him (!)  He was tired then and rode home and it was a case of keeping him going with games until dinner time.  When he looked as if he wouldn't make it without falling asleep, we gave in and put Okido and Bluey on the laptop whilst we did some jobs around him.

At one point in the afternoon there were a few spots of rain so he took his umbrella out in to the garden to see if it would amount to anything, but it didn't storm until after dinner had been made and we were all safely in.  Another welcome watering for the garden.
