Peeking

Warmer, sunny, +24 highest today. Stronger cooling wind.

Busy, too busy. First an important phone call about a construction error mechanics made when doing our terrace in the country. Then a meeting with a specialist in assistive devices. Next on the same trip to a goods store. A quick dinner and a nap. To the allotment for some time watering, weeding and spreading woodchip mulch. Back home. An evening tea and TV.

In the picture a germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys) is peeking out from among the leaves at the edge of the forrest by our garden. The species is wild, original, old and common in Finland except for the northern parts. The lifespan of a single flower is short. It's brilliant blue for one day only.
