How did I miss this?

I walked down the drive this morning to go to the doctors and I didn’t notice this mallow in flower. As I still have a lump in my throat and as I always get this problem on the same side they are going to send me to the hospital for a scan. I’m sure that that won’t be soon.

When I went out this evening to choir practice I noticed the mallow. I’m not sure how I missed the vibrant colour.

I’m now sitting in the garden just after 10pm enjoying the cool.
