Screen Machine

Iain MacColl , on the left, is a sort of neighbour of mine who lives in Tighnabruaich. He runs the Screen Machine along with Neil Macdonald on the right and the blip was taken in their projection box.

I have seen quite a few films in this wonderful mobile cinema and today I joined them ( specially parked up in Holyrood Park) to mark the 15th season during which the service has travelled the length and breadth of Scotland bringing Holywood and the shared pleasure of cinema to many small communities.

I am an enthusiast for that task having myself, as I admitted in my few words today, run a mobile cinema circuit - Cinema Sgire - serving 13 locations in the Western Isles between 1977 and 1981.
