The weather seen through the office windows was dull and grey, although I do believe the sun shone for a little while - which is very useful for the growing of the flowers.
Those people that know me will remember my encyclopedic knowledge of all things botanical and the picture I've done today is of a particularly interesting specimen that after a lot of research I can now positively identify as a flower. And a purple one at that. There is also evidence of sticking-out bits and dangly bits and even sticky bits that stick to bees which is very important.

I will be publishing the full text of my scientific paper in the summer.
