A Daily Dose

A first for me . . .

Another birthday luncheon today - two of my 'old' swimming group members have birthdays this month so combined their celebrations. A lovely lunch at the Mitre, in Witheridge, so a drive into the country! Hayfever raging due to all the grass pollen.
I popped over to see how the swans were doing this afternoon; it was very hot - the car was reading 32˚!
I found a couple of swans on the canal, one of which appeared when I looked closely, to be sleeping as its eyes were firmly closed. It was floating freely and gave me a beautiful reflection.  It stayed like this for some minutes before it appeared to wake up and paddle off after flapping its wings in style (extra).
