Our next round of seeing family today, and now we are staying at Stalag Luft III near Warrington, the option to take public transport became a living reality.  And so it was, I navigated the Google Maps "directions for public transport and discovered about 20 lines of options with enough colours to satisfy any Pride celebrant.  Eventually worked out that bus followed by train followed by bus would mean a 30 minute wait at Irlam station and so we cheated... just a little bit... and ordered an Uber from the campsite to the station.  After that, all went smoothly and we disembarked at Manchester Oxford Road and hopped on one of the 6 or so buses that ply their trade down the Oxford Road, which now restricts vehicles to only buses and bikes - but there were so many buses that we almost had a traffic jam even without the cars.

Once we found the Shahjalal Mosque, we knew we had arrived at Julia, Tom and Eden's house.  No they don't live in the Mosque, but I remembered that they had one at the end of their road and so we were greeted by a welcoming J and had to wait for the emergence of the sleeping Eden.  Spent the day playing with the lovely Eden, who has eventually become firm friends with RIo the cat, had a great lunch with Tom's excellent bread as soon as Bex arrived - she had made the effort to combine a visit to see us with an opportunity to re-connect with Julia and meet the newest member of the family.

After a lovely Indian Street Food dinner at Chit 'N' Chaat we had to leave in order to ensure our public transport return didn't turn into a long ride home.  No hiccups encountered, and in fact caught an earlier train, the trans-pennine express and so had time to do my BG work and then blip this blip!
