Pond Dipping

Works ex employees get together at lunchtime today. A quiet afternoon when we returned home and a sit by the pond tonight doing a bit of pond dipping. The water Lilies are flowering today, but the leaves are so big I have a job to get a decent picture (extra). The main is of two creatures that came out in the fishing net, they are quite well camouflaged and they jumped around very fast, their undersides were white. I also netted lots of baby newts, but didn't raise the net out of the water with them, so as not to disturb them.
