Mermaid's Purse

Walking on the beach this morning, I came across quite a lot of these on the strand line. They are commonly known as mermaids' purses, and are the egg cases of the Common Skate.

Lovely weather at the moment, warm and sunny, so I'm having a busy time in the garden. Hope it lasts, as there are blippers coming up this weekend!
