Mt Cook from the Hooker Valley and scary stuff

This was an exciting and scary adventure which started when the B's arrived at the village late in the day but decided to go blip seeking at a spot an hour of so down a snow and ice covered track to the valley where some years ago one of their favourite shots was made. There are limited options for little stuffed dogs on camera paks so I had to go too but even with walking sticks it was obvious that this was going to be a bit hazardous and when the Bossess, getting concerned about time suggested to The Boss that he go on ahead and he ended up,on his hands and knees I did think things were getting out of hand. Big relief after the last swing bridge when the tripod was erected and delight when The Bossess turned up a short time later.
Interesting fact no 323. If you want photo's of sunsets it will get dark shortly thereafter.
Right then so back we went. The track was not negotiable so you needed to walk on the sno edges. The day turned to night. We slid down hilly bits on our bums (very cool) and eventually found the cars in the park only by hitting the remote.
Tech issues stopped upload last night so here we are now better later than never.
