Going....

Another hot day..26 degrees.
We drove along the coast road to Sea wood. ( too hot for the beach and 100s have jelly fish have been washed up on the sand so not a good idea to walk there anyway)

We went to Sea wood instead. Nice and cool in the shade . One day when it isnt so hot we'll walk out to the stone circle but today it was good to stay under the trees.
Of course I had to check out the Dryads fungus. Oh dear someone has been cutting away at the smaller fresher fungus.. I presume it's someone who will be planning to eat them.  The larger ones are only there because they are inedible.
This tree stump is always covered each year, but I've yet to see them anywhere else in the wood.

After a nice meandering walk through the woods we returned to a very hot car!
Fletch was quite comfortable on his cool mat . We could have done with one too.

We then carried in to Ulverston for a few things from M& S . (Weve got addicted to their peacon nuts and the cantaloupe melon is delicious)

Back home to the relative cool of the house . I sat in the shade and did some 'frogging' on my knitting as the pattern isnt as good as I hoped and the shoulders werent right. No great hardship. I enjoy the challenge.
* frogging..  American knitting term meaning to rip out rows of knitting.. as a frog says " rip it , rip it"
