Petrichor

I took a photo this morning of a couple of peony flowers that I have nurtured through the recent long hot, dry spell of weather in the weedy unkempt front garden.

I thought it best to blip them before the rain eventually arrives. We had very light rainfall this afternoon. It was sufficient for the hot stone and soil to give off that lovely rain smell. The forecast warns of possible deluges tomorrow.
