Sedbergh Book Festival

Being keen to encourage people to run events here, and enjoying books anyway, I went along to the Sedbergh Book Festival this evening. Chris Butterfield in his book Wainwright Memories talked about how he got so interested in all things Wainwright. He seems to have been given huge amounts to information on the author and everything around him. Wainwright and his books are well known to walkers in Cumbria and Yorkshire for his stories and drawings of walks in these areas. We didn’t have a very big audience but the Author certainly knew he subject and vastly overran his time. But it’s nice to see someone so passionate about his subject.
