Scratched Window Pane

I ordered a BLT with a small beer and the kind landlady pointed out a picture hanging over the window that I was looking through. The picture shows a young David Niven with his sweetheart by the pub in the wartime 1940’s. So the scratches on the window pane were not due to lack of maintenance but by the couple in love.
