Sparkle in the Birdbath

We had a friend visit today, complete with a lovely 6 month old labrador puppy called Sparkle, who at one point decided to play in the birdbath.

She spent quite a while scratching at the bottom, you can just see the splashes in the picture. Don't know if this was to stir up the green gunge that inevitably develops in there, or whether there was some other motive - or was it just fun?
Whatever it was it gave us all a laugh.

I think sometimes we can all get too serious, and a good laugh does us a whole heap of good.
