Red Admiral

Second insect image for the week .... a Red Admiral with its wings closed sitting on N's telescope :) I was amazed at how complex and beautiful the patterns are on its underwings.
The same butterfly has been hanging around for a few days - it landed on my head 3 times this evening :)
