Veeru’s Back in Sutton

Back on the road again and in the hands of our dear friend TomTom. This time not a foot wrong and we arrived mid afternoon for me to have a FaceTime call with Courtney my GM to help encourage her with a team issue.

Then off to Geoff and Helene’s for a cup of tea and cake plus the bonus of meeting H’s friend Natalie, who is French and started at Aston the same day as H. Practiced a bit of French and had delicious frangipane and also good conversation as always.

Our hosts Deb and Sam were out for dinner so we took ourselves down to Sutton town to indulge in some Indian food. Went to Tapri on the roundabout but found the customer service very lacking and the final straw was their refusal to add mushrooms to Leyna’s veggie curry even though mushrooms were on the menu as an extra. Turns out the system won’t allow an extra unless you also choose meat as well. It was £1 for the mushrooms but he refused to go outside the box. And so I politely informed him that we should go next door instead. Veeru’s was a wholly different experience with a friendly visit at the table by the Nepali owner and chef. Food was good and to top it off, when we told him we lived in the States he said his brother lived there. When we asked him where he said ‘Bedford’. That’s the small town we used to live in before moving up the road to Fort Worth! Small world when you consider how large the US is.

Anyway here is Buskar sitting with us for a photo - just had to be today’s blip

Finished the evening chatting to Deb and Sam
