Contrary to appearances

this cat is hunting baby bunnies. When I came across the cat it was crouching ready to leap in a spot frequently visited by baby bunnies, occasionally unchaperoned. But when the cat spotted me it rolled over to bask in the sunshine. Either it is so used to being told off for hunting that it was pretending not to be, or it finds human attention more desirable than Bedford rabbit for lunch. There was no way I was going to accept the invitation to stroke its sun-warmed fur.
