Sunshine on Coll

After a hazy start the day turned into beautiful warm sunshine with a light breeze. We explored the north of the island with its stunning beaches. Often with at most one or two others in the distance. The views across to the other islands and Skye were superb.

I went for a walk around a headland and saw (from afar) a butterfly on the machair: the flowers were also buzzing with black bees. When swimming (which I did not do but friends did) you had to watch out for jellyfish. We had a BBQ in the evening with some fresh langoustine. And we had our first proper sunset since arriving on the islands. Various photos attached to summarise a lovely day.
