Sgwarnog: In the Field

Shelter

The rain kept up for most of the day, but cleared late afternoon so after work I headed out for a walk in the wet meadows. Waders would probably have been more suitable garb than trousers.

After spending the day in shelter there were a few butterflies, like me, putting there heads outside to see what was going on.

Small Heath butterflies are usually quite flighty, so although I see plenty of them during the summer I rarely get a decent photo. In cooler conditions they can be a bit calmer; this image being the reward for even wetter knees.
