Littoral

Evening on the Marsh

Dodged a bullet - or rather a barrage of cannon fire - when I decided not to go for a walk in the late morning.  About ten minutes later, the heavens opened and it absolutely bucketed it down.  And continued doing so, off and on, for most of the afternoon.  I took advantage of DH being out at a work dinner to go for a walk along the riverside when the rain had stopped.  The flag irises are blooming, and there was enough breeze to keep the midges away.
