Fire Drill Day

The picture shows one of the residents learning to use a fire extinguisher to put out a fire. I was happy to have a go … not a bad thing to learn.

I was one of the fire wardens filling in for my neighbour who is still away after a hip operation. Lots of meetings and hanging around and finally knocking on doors to get people out due to the non existent fire. 

Those who have been in the village for years refused to leave .. done it too many times. It wasn’t the most organised day but it is over now and it was a one off for me.
