Sebastion

My first sighting of my resident garter snake, Sebastion.  He lives in the stone walls around my house.  I was out checking on the peonies when I saw him.  We chatted for a brief time, well, I chatted and Sebastion just listened, occasionally flicking his tongue to check if I was friend or foe.  Apparently, he thought I was no threat and continued soaking up the warmth of the stones.  I told him to leave my chipmunks alone, but I got no promises.   Perfectly gorgeous weather yesterday and today and tomorrow look good too.  Gift#172: perfect summer weather, for now.
