TAME IRIS

We have lots of wild iris growing in this area...but this one lives in my neighbor's garden.  It's quite tame and allows me to approach within a few feet to photograph it.  I am grateful for its patience with me. Normally I shoot fast moving things and action sports....so sometimes I struggle to get settings right when I have too much time to make up my mind.  I think I didn't nail this shot....should have shot it at f/11.  Too much time to think. Sometimes it's better just to react.

It's Flower Friday and this is today's submission...I was at the track all day for the June Sprints but this beautiful iris called to me when I returned home.  I'm glad I heard it.
