Cold and wet

Very wet in fact.  Poor birds - the ground is too sodden to even attempt to dig for worms.

Here's the thing - we have been warned and warned that it's going to be a dry, warm winter.  I think the weather people got it wrong, thus far at any rate.  It's been one of the wettest starts to winter on record, and I can tell you it's blankety blank cold.

And there's another rain band on the way.
