Dawn Glow…..

A riverside walk early this morning. Cloudy, with threat of rain. Despite the conditions the sunrise sky shone through the cloud cover. The Taylor River is running high with clay coloured water. There must have been significant rain in the south-east catchment. In fact a Council message warns the ford at Beneagles in the Taylor Pass is impassable. Marlborough has got off lightly in this present wet weather. Not so in parts of the eastern coasts of the North Island. Land slips, road closures and flooding . Poor residents in those areas.
