Lessons in Cumbrian.

"Fyulls and bairns should nivver see a job hawf finished".
As my Grandmother used to say, frequently. Along with
"It'll be wahr afooer it's better".
Imagine saying the 1st word sans "F", you got that right. Now keep that pronunciation and stick t' "F" back where it belangs an thoo hez it.
If you haven't caught on ...
"Fools & children should never see a task half completed."
and
"It will be worse before it is better."
The above being a fair illustration of both statements.

A few days ago I tried spreading a weed/feed/moss killer. Trouble was it was last years and had, ever so slightly, congealed; just sufficient to prevent easy egress. Which is not to be confused with an Egret, it's not even a female Egret. The upshot was that I had to hand spread it, not, too evenly, (as can be seen by the Native American state of the "lawn". i.e It's "Apache").

Stage 2 was to rake out the dead/dying/stubborn moss: a task I partake of all too infrequently.
The rake gives a reasonable idea of the teeny area so far scarified, I've 6-8 times that still to do.
