Panache

No, not my photographic style - Panache is, if memory serves, the name of this rhododendron, photographed on a late walk in Benmore Gardens. We went for the last hour of opening today simply because I knew that the rhododendrons and azaleas were at their best, and was spoiled for choice of blip for this evening - bushes of all colours and sizes, of luscious profusion and the sparser beauty of small blooms spread among open foliage - they were everywhere, and I took far more photos than I know what to do with.
