Newcastle central station.

This station was opened in 1850 by Queen Victoria.  It was iconic at the time as the station was huge and the roof was made from curved structures that you can see with glass between.  In Victorian times this was a tourist attraction and people would come to wonder at the magnificence of the building. On the day of the opening thousands attended.
I must say it is still pretty awesome.
Looking South you can see the castle and the Tyne bridge. We were going to go in the castle but it was too hot.
