Diary of an Edinburgher

Vet visit. Again.

I took Archie to the vet this morning, not for anything drastic - just his yearly vaccination and kennel cough spray. We got the bus. He knew exactly where we were going (we seem to have been there quite a lot of late), and wasn't too keen, but when we got there he trotted in no bother. She listened to his heart for quite a while, and noted a 'slight murmur' - not unusual as a dog gets older. To be monitored... Here he's waiting patiently while the vet went to get the syringe from the fridge. He got a treat from her, so she was forgiven.

There were two big bouncy dogs there, but Archie sat on my knee, unperturbed. He just watches everyone in the office with great interest. We got the bus home too. A great big collie got on with a lady, and it proceeded to howl and cry for the whole journey! Archie looked on and said nothing, but I told him what a good boy he was.

JR went into town for some last minute things - a multi-plug and sun lotion. I watched the tennis in Eastbourne. Gosh, those first people playing on the fresh green grassy court are lucky.

Right. Action stations tomorrow. Packing, nails done (JR and Hazel) Archie to Elizabeth for his holidays (he's VERY excited), book taxi (for 4.30am!!!)
