Strange sound

The burn behind the study is in spate, for the first time in many weeks.  It was a bit strange to hear it late this afternoon , though in many years it would have been a common spring and summer refrain.  

My wee weather station  had recorded almost since 30mm of rain by 5.00pm  today  which is far from exceptional here but,  given the dry period we have had , must be the most for several months.
