Bridges

This morning we visited the gallery at Oriel Mon, followed by an afternoon walking around Menai Bridge.

We walked down to the church that is on the water between the two bridges, and had lunch before exploring the island.  We took photos of both bridges, and then walked along the Belgian Promenade to the older bridge.  This was built by Belgian refugees as a thank you to the town during the first world war.  From there we continued walking under the bridge and out in the town, where we found tea and cake in a lovely vegan cafe.

We visited a photographer's gallery and then walked onto the old bridge from where we took photos of the views including the new bridge.

We then drove back onto the mainland to pick up dinner from Tesco's before returning to the cottage.
