Bats, landslips, Old Place

I had a bit of an adventure today, travelling to Pulborough in West Sussex  by train.

Outbound the trains were on time. Inbound there were delays.

In Pulborough I had time to spend before and between appointments and so had an explore.

Firstly, finding the footpaths on the A29 closed due to a landslip - see extra one.

Secondly, visiting St Mary's church, where a warden pointed out this bat asleep on the base of a pillar inside the church.

Thirdly, discovering this delightful pond at Old Place.
