Willy nilly, dilly dilly

Is it the persistent prevailing breeze? Or a yearning to grow in the direction of the sun? Probably a combination of the two, thinking about it. 

Whatever the reason, the lavender insists on growing at this angle. 

And the apple tree's heading the same way.
