Red on Yellow

Covered in yellow! Both the dogs and me - having walked through swathes of bright yellow buttercups - a whole field full in fact. Yellow ankles on my part but the westies have gone the most perfect shade of lemon .....all over! Very fetching :))

Chasing up and down the hedgerow trying to catch illusive butterflies this afternoon I spotted this coasting along nearby. Dropping in and amongst the flowers I couldn't resist a shot of the female large red damselfly just loving the sunshine - aren't we all?!

Back to the house as chained to the kitchen sink today with family coming over for the weekend. Fresh crab for dinner tonight and it goes without saying a barbie tomorrow!
